Our Application Procedure

Enrolment application forms are available to download on our website, to return via email, or at other times from the school office.

Completed application forms must be returned to the school office by a date to be decided in each calendar year.  This date will be clearly indicated on the enrolment form.

School Secretary/ Clerical Officer

Jesus & Mary Secondary School, Gortnor Abbey invites applications for the full-time position of Secretary/Clerical Officer.

Jesus & Mary Secondary School, Gortnor Abbey is a co-educational school with an enrolment of 635 students

Hours of Work: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

The position will be subject to the terms of Circular 36/2022 Revision of Salaries and Annual Leave Arrangements for School Secretaries. The entry level for this role is on the first point of the scale unless the candidate has previous work experience as a School Secretary.

The position is subject to a probationary period and satisfactory Garda Vetting. The successful candidate will be required to undertake TUSLA child protection training.
