Green Schools

In 2017 members of our Green Schools committee were presented with our first Green Schools Flag for the theme “Litter And Waste”. Well done to all the committee and all students and staff of Gortnor Abbey for all their hard work in making Gortnor green and keeping it clean!

Presentation to the Green Schools Committee from Nuala and Roisin of Crossmolina Tidy Towns Committee of Beebombs. These are wildflower seeds that were sown on our grounds. They will return 2 square meters of lost wildflower habitat, vital to our pollinators.

Gortnor Abbey is committed to continuously improving our energy performance within the environment and community that we learn, teach and work – it in conjunction with our overall Green Schools Policy.
