School Self Evaluation (SSE)

"Effective schools continually reflect, evaluate, and improve in order to provide the best possible learning experience for every student."

Driving Continuous Improvement

School Self-Evaluation (SSE) is an integral part of school life and focuses on school effectiveness, school improvement, quality enhancement, professional development, the effective use of resources, and managing change.

Introduced by the Department of Education and Skills in 2012, SSE is a collaborative and reflective process through which schools review their practices, gather evidence, and identify opportunities to improve teaching, learning, and student outcomes.

At Jesus and Mary Secondary School, Gortnor Abbey, this process supports our commitment to continuous improvement and ensuring the highest quality educational experience for all students.
