Career Guidance

Guidance for the Future

At Jesus and Mary Secondary School, Gortnor Abbey, Career Guidance plays an important role in helping students make informed educational, career, and life choices.

Our guidance programme encourages students to develop self-awareness, recognise their strengths and abilities, and explore the many pathways available to them after school.

Students are supported throughout key decision-making stages, helping them gain confidence as they plan for further education, training, apprenticeships, or employment.

The goal is not simply to choose a course or career, but to help each student identify opportunities that match their interests, talents, and aspirations.

"Our aim is to help every student grow in knowledge, confidence and character, ready to make a positive difference in the world."

Caroline Harrison, Principal
