Child Protection

Safeguarding Every Student

At Jesus and Mary Secondary School, Gortnor Abbey, the safety and wellbeing of our students is our highest priority.

We are committed to providing a caring and supportive environment where all students are respected, valued, and protected. Every member of our school community has a role to play in ensuring that children and young people feel safe, heard, and supported throughout their educational journey.

Our safeguarding practices are guided by national child protection procedures and Department of Education requirements, helping us maintain the highest standards of care and responsibility.

We continually work to promote a culture where students feel confident seeking support and where concerns are responded to appropriately, sensitively, and effectively.
